Alerts: get notified when city shop items restock
Choose the items you want to follow in Alerts, under City Shops. Items whose restock can be predicted warn you a few minutes in advance; the rest notify you as soon as the restock is seen. You can also ask to be notified only once the item is confirmed in stock.
Foreign stocks: restock alerts can now wait until you have landed
The option that limits restock alerts to your current country has a new setting under it. Turn off "alert while still flying" and you will only hear about a restock once you have landed and can actually buy, instead of while you are in the air.
Foreign stocks: get alerted when an item sells out
A new option in the foreign stocks alerts sends you a notification when one of the items you are subscribed to runs out, which helps to know when the next restock is due.
Travel: the landing notification can list what is in stock at your destination
Enable it under the travel alert options. The notification will tell you which of the items you have restock alerts for are in stock in the country you are landing in.
Scripts: added war mode
Keep only the scripts you need during a war or a chain. Enter it from the options menu of the scripts section, from the browser three-dotted icon or from a FAB button, then use the switches in the list to choose what runs in war mode. Your normal setup is kept untouched, so leaving it changes nothing else.
Alerts: set a target for your work stats
A new alert lets you choose a value for your manual labor, intelligence and endurance, and notifies you as soon as you reach it.
Items and foreign stocks: inventory quantities are back
Torn removed inventory from API v1 in 2023 and it is now available again in API v2, one call per item category. To keep API usage under your control, inventory is only loaded when you tap the new box icon in Items or Foreign stocks (or pick an inventory filter or sort). Items then shows how many of each item you own (display case included) and their total value. If you would rather have it loaded on entering those sections, enable "Load inventory automatically" in Settings, under API call rate. Torn caches inventory for an hour, so recent purchases can take up to an hour to show.
FFScouter: shared notes
The notes dialog of any player now has an FFScouter tab with the notes stored in FFScouter: your personal ones, the ones written by your faction and those from the FFScouter team. You can write new personal or faction notes there, and copy notes between FFScouter and your Torn PDA note.
War, target and profile cards show how many FFScouter notes a player has: tap the counter to open them, or the notebook icon for your Torn PDA note. Notes are stored by FFScouter, so they follow you to any device and to the FFScouter scripts. In Settings, under FFScouter, you can choose which note the cards show when there are both, or turn them off.
FFScouter: hit calling in the war section
If you have FFScouter premium, tap the hand icon of a war card to call that target for your faction. Everyone in your faction using Torn PDA or the FFScouter scripts sees who called what, and calls expire on their own after a while. It can be disabled in the FFScouter premium features.
FFScouter: new Bounty Board tab
The FFScouter section in Chaining has a Bounty Board tab next to the Target Finder. It lists the players with bounties placed through FFScouter and what each hit pays: attack one from there, hospitalize them and claim the hit, and FFScouter checks your attack log and pays you. You can also place your own bounties, paid with Xanax, and follow them from the same tab.
The first time you open it you are asked to accept the Bounty Board rules and data policy, and the tab can be hidden from Settings if you are not interested.
Improved
- FFScouter: stats dialog shows every estimate with its date, spies when available and a history chart
- FFScouter: travel timers for all the players in a list are now loaded in a single call
- Foreign stocks: item details now include the average time an item takes to sell out
Browser: option to keep locked tabs loaded
When "only load tabs when used" is active, you can now exempt locked tabs. They load with the browser and are never put to sleep or rested while you are away (except for memory pressure request from the OS).
Scripts: the list can now be searched and sorted
Search by name (or inside the code, if you enable it in the options menu) and sort the list alphabetically or by install date. You can also keep the scripts with a pending update at the top.
Profile: choose which stats are shown in the Torn Stats chart
Tap the legend under the chart to open a dialog where you can hide any of strength, defense, speed and dexterity.
Profile: tap your ID in the header to open your own profile in the browser
Tapping your name still shows your online status, and a long press still copies your ID.
Browser: added hospital timer on the attack page
The "This person is currently in hospital and cannot be attacked" message is replaced with a countdown of their remaining hospital time. The page automatically updates to "Start fight" when they are released.
- Browser: new option to limit the size of Torn's chat cache
Browser: option to turn off the page graphics layer Android only
Found in Advanced browser settings, under Memory. Pages are drawn into an extra graphics layer before being shown; turning it off uses less graphics memory, which might help if black or empty boxes appear over pages.
